Dr. Webster is a founder of Welichem and has been a member of the Company´s scientific and management teams since its formation in 1995. He is responsible for directing the overall business and scientific affairs of the Company.

Dr. Webster has studied the biology of nematode-bacteria symbionts for over 20 years and is acknowledged as a leading world authority in the field of nematology and parasitology. Dr. Webster is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biological Sciences at Simon Fraser University (SFU). He has served the University in various capacities, including Chairman of the Department of Biological Sciences, Dean of Graduate Studies, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Associate Vice President Academic. Dr. Webster is an elected Fellow and a past President of the Society of Nematologists (US) and the Canadian Society of Zoologists. He has over 250 peer-reviewed publications and a number of patents and edited books.

He has served on numerous committees and national organizations including the Science Council of Canada, NSERC, Science Council of British Columbia, and Premier of British Columbia´s Advisory Council on Science and Technology. Dr. Webster received hisB. Sc. (Special Honours) Ph.D. and D.Sc. from Imperial College, University of London, UK.
