Technology Pipelines

The technology pipeline of Welichem is based on synthesized pharmaceutical drug candidates that have the unique activities of compounds selected from natural sources. The initial drug candidates in Welichem’s technology pipeline have been derived from the metabolites of bacterial symbionts of soil living nematodes. The particular properties of these compounds were explored, and because they met the Company’s special requirements and objectives are now being developed as pharmaceutical drug candidates. Future metabolites from this source will be developed sequentially according to the Company’s priorities.

It is anticipated that other potential drug candidates will be discovered from diverse natural systems as the Company continues to probe the unique characteristics and competencies of nature. By so doing, Welichem will continue to identify compounds that have pre-targeted activities of therapeutic interest, and to synthesize and develop these compounds as drug candidates to satisfy an array of unmet healthcare needs.
