Liren Tang
C.E.O. and President

As the former Director of Clinical Development at the Company, Dr. Tang’s scientific vision and leadership led to the successful commencement of the Company’s ongoing clinical development program for the treatment of psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. He also led research studies to uncover the fundamental mechanisms that account for the cellular and molecular action of the Company’s anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer drug candidates during the last few years. Prior to joining Welichem, Liren was a principal and co-principal investigator at the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute for diverse scientific and clinical research projects addressing various aspects of inflammatory diseases and cancers. He is an author of over 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications. Liren received his PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of British Columbia.
