Professor of Chemistry, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC. Dr. Slessor is an internationally recognized organic chemist with research interests in the isolation, identification, synthesis and applications of insect semiochemicals.

He has received many awards including the Gold Medal from the Science Council of British Columbia in 1992 and Ernest C. Manning Innovation Award of Distinction in 1997.

Dr. Slessor received a PhD in Organic Chemistry from UBC.
