Welichem Biotech Successfully Moves to Higher Dose for Phase I Clinical Trials
BURNABY, BC, Sep. 7 /CNW/ - Welichem Biotech Inc. ("WBI" or the "Company") (TSX-V: WBI - News) is very pleased to report that the Phase I Clinical Trials of the Company’s anti-psoriasis drug candidate, WBI-1001, are running as planned in Montreal, Quebec. The trials consist of six separate cohorts. All six patients in Cohort I have been treated with WBI-1001 for at least fourteen days and none has experienced any adverse side effects. Patients for Cohort II, in which the dosage level will be increased, are now being recruited.
The Company notes that Mr. Andrew Baren, the company’s investor relations manager, recently left Welichem to pursue personal interests. We thank him for his efforts on our behalf and we wish him well.
